While Everyone Was Watching the Nuclear Program, Iran Was Apparently Getting in Shape

Iran has so far (as of just now) won eight medals, four of them gold, in the London Olympics. That exceeds their previous national best of seven medals clear back in 1952 in Helsinki, and puts them well ahead of anyone else in the Middle East, unless you count Kazakhstan with 7 as the Middle East. As of right now (though rankings change constantly), Iran’s ranked number 11 in medals worldwide.
Maybe Natanz is an Olympic training center and the whole nuclear thing was a diversion?
